Even though it rained on Saturday we still had a day of fun.
We took the kids to the Bean museum at BYU. They had a live reptile show. The kids got to pet all kinds of animals. Brayden would pet them, and then after each animal he would go to the front desk and put hand sanitizer on his hands. He thought it was pretty cool but said he didn't want to get germs.

After that, we went over the another museum at BYU. For those of you that have seen the "I Spy" books, this museum was about his work. It was cool, you got to see how they made them. In my opinion this is best for older kids. Glad we saw it!

Then we went out to eat at Brick Oven. I haven't been there in a while. We love it! Brayden liked it so much he is already asking to go there for his birthday!

My sisters dog, Daisy, wanted to come with us. Every time we need to go somewhere, she gets in our car and curls up in one of the boy's laps in hopes that she can come...

This was funny....
I asked if Kayla wanted to hold the snake...no fear at all...she wanted to. The boys were sitting about 50 feet away not daring to come any closer for fear that there mom or dad might make the hold the snake...(which I would never have done that, heck, I was too afraid to hold the snake). We were hoping for an Americas Funniest Home Videos moment, but Kayla was brave and held the snake like it was no big deal.

You can tell by her face she didn't like being too close!

One of the worst jobs ever!!!!!

Bathing my dog! Yuck! This weekend I did two dogs. Even though we take our dog to the groomer...he needs to be bathed in between times.
THANK GOODNESS THESE DOGS DON'T SHED!!!
I don't like cleaning up wet human hair in the bathroom, much less dog hair!
It's not the actual bathing, drying, & brushing I don't like....
It's the wet dog smell...
Times like "bathing" I wonder what in the heck I was thinking when we got our dog!
Then theres the after bath work....
Sanitizing and cleaning everything, which always leads to washing the clothes I was wearing, bathing myself because I feel like I smell like wet dog, washing all of his bedding, mopping my floor...Phew, what a job!

Then you see your kids playing with him (and at times laughing their heads off because he did something funny).
It has given my kids responsibility in taking care of him.
He gets excited when we come home and he jumps up and turns around at the same time.
He will play tag with my boys around our living room.
He loves to play keep away.
He is gentle with Kayla.
He can be so dang cute at times.

So, I am a dog lover...but let me just say that they are a lot of work, and if you are ever thinking of getting one, you have to be willing to take the bad with the good.

The Lion look....

Chad thought it was pretty cool I gave him this new hairstyle!

All clean....This was the best picture I could get. For some reason the camera got him excited and all he wanted to do was jump. Fur is so soft, and he smells good after his bath.

Before bath.....

All Clean! The picture doesn't do her justice. This is my sisters dog (Daisy Bell), we are watching her while my parents and sister are in Hawaii. She is the best dog. Like my dog she doesn't shed. Unlike my dog I trust her with the whole potty training thing. She will just stand by the door if she needs to go out. She sleeps in the Boy's room in her kennel. One morning I came in and Chad was reading her a book...too cute! She minds so good.

Our first Easter celebration was at my Grandma's house. Growing up, my grandparents always had fun Easter get-togethers. It was a good excuse for the extended family to get together again. So, my grandma and a few others hid a bunch of eggs and fed us all lunch. We all had a great time. I am so thankful for the memories and love that my grandparents have given me.

Easter at my parents home.

My parents usually have the kids hunt for eggs. But, because of the rain this year, they put together Easter sacks and toys for each of the grand kids. They fed us all dinner and we played games. Thanks Mom & Dad for the fun and memories!

Sunday morning the kids found what the Easter Bunny left them. It was funny, Kayla and Chad walked right to it...you would have thought they saw where the Easter Bunny hid their baskets...but they didn't, they were sound asleep. It took Brayden a little longer to find his.

The best part of Easter was this whole week. Every night, beginning with the Sunday before Easter, I hid an egg for the kids to find. In that egg it told us what we would do that evening to remember the true meaning of Easter. For instance, one night for dinner we ate the kind of foods that they would have had back then, and talked about the "Last Supper". The whole family loved it!

I was in doing dishes and decided to check on Kayla......and this is what I found.

St. Patricks Day

This is from Chads amazing primary teacher! He loves her! She is always bringing something over, having parties, and just loving him! He loves primary so much that if he is sick or we are out of town, he is disappointed that he can't go to church.

In the middle of the day I found Chad sitting on the floor with all of this around him. I asked what he was doing, and he said he was working and doing homework! So cute!

We had a fun day and the kids ate plenty of green things. Being a kid is great!

They found their gold "pop rocks" that was hidden by the leprechaun.
